What age groups does Edinburgh Steiner School welcome?

We welcome children from 2 to 18 years old. Our Kindergarten nurtures ages 2 to 6, while the main school supports ages 7 to 18. Children can join at any age and any time of year, ensuring flexibility for families.

How does the Steiner curriculum prepare pupils for exams?

Our curriculum integrates core academics with an interdisciplinary approach to develop critical and creative thinking skills – equipping pupils not just for exams but for meaningful understanding and long-term success, with confidence and a love of learning. There is no academic testing to enrol. And yet, our pupils start later and finish ahead. In 2024, our Highers candidates achieved a 96% pass rate, 3-in-5 at the top 'A' grade.
